This week on Beyond the Message, Michael and Sam dive into Psalm 67:1-2, where we see that we are to care most about God’s glory to best handle God’s blessings. We unpack the sermon's main points and go beyond yesterday with additional insight into the text.
Highlights from the message:
Big Idea: Care most about God’s glory to best handle God’s blessings
Biblical blessing is unmerited favor from God that leads to closeness with God.This includes prosperity, all the beatitudes (from Matthew 5:2-12), discipline, trials, forgiveness, and ultimately God, through the work of Christ.
The purpose of God is for his way and salvation to be known in all the earth.
Be careful not to separate the blessings of God from the purposes of God.
